Black and white portrait of a woman with dark hair, staring directly at the camera, with her hand resting near her chin, wearing a high-neck top.

Sarah Capozza

I write multilingual poems and create abstract paintings on canvas mainly using acrylic paint.

My work is an exploration of the dochotomy of emotions and life experiences and their influence on our identity, drawing directly from my own journey.
It serves as a dialogue between the opposing emotional forces of despair, yearning, hope resilience during the endless search of our identity.
It offers an affirmation of the beauty and complexity in feeling everything deeply, celebrating the resilience required to navigate life’s continuous, shifting rhythm.

Through my paintings I aim to create a visual resonance that mirrors the viewer's emotional landscape.
As a result, they are often created in layers, a metaphor for how life experiences accumulate over time and shape us.
